The Cuboid Matrix of Regional Spectrum Monitoring Data and Its Application

The Internet-based spectrum monitoring (SM) system is popularized around world. The interconnection of SM network (SMN) becomes much easier and the massive data transformation is no longer problematic. Hance, we propose the cuboid matrix of the regional spectrum monitoring data. Based on which we define the terms of frequency band occupancy (FBO), time occupancy (TO) and spatial occupancy (SO). Furthermore, the concept of environment complex (EX) is defined. The proposed method is applied on the measured wideband scanning SM data and the target emitters are detected with the absolute error within the double of frequency span $\mathbf {\Delta }$ f . The regional EM situation is quantitively analysed. The method is also applied on the narrowband I-Q data, and the co-frequency emitters are successfully extracted via PARAFAC decomposition. The proposed method can be easily implemented in engineering.
