In today’s rapidly evolving IT market, organizations are facing the increasing pressure to deliver high-quality software quickly to meet the growing demands of consumers. This trend has given rise to the “need for speed” which has dominated the industry, and organizations are continuously seeking ways to improve their software development practices to achieve faster time-to-market. One of the key approaches used to meet this need for speed is the adoption of agile software architectures, such as microservices, which can shorten the software development cycle. These architectures break down large applications into smaller, more manageable services, which can be developed and deployed independently. This approach intermixes software development activities with IT operations, creating a paradigm known as DevOps. As part of the DevOps menu, many practices entail re-using standard tools from software development, such as code-versioning and coderevision management, to manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
