A Method to Enhance the Calibration Performanceof Passive Radar Arrays in DTMB Signal Environment

In field array calibration of digital television terrestrial multimedia broadcasting (DTMB)-based passive radar, the impact of DTMB signals on array calibration is often ignored. Therefore, we analyzed the impact of DTMB signals on array calibration by establishing an array signal model in the DTMB signal environment. Then, a method to improve the calibration performance of passive radar in the DTMB signal environment is proposed based on the feature that the DTMB frame header can be generated locally. The performance of the array calibration algorithm processed by the proposed method is significantly improved. Simulation and field experiments verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
